Many of you may have seen Channel 4’s Dispatches, Children of Gaza programme last night when you would have seen the daily horrors of life under siege, especially after Operation Cast Lead of last year. The pain and suffering of these children are relentless. You would have seen how, 14 months on, the children continue suffer acute trauma. These children need help; our help urgently.
Interpal is supporting the Children of Gaza through its One-to-One Child Sponsorship Programme, through the provision of medical aid, education aid and food aid. Most importantly, Interpal continues to support Socio-Psychological Programmes to provide much needed counseling for the children so traumatized by what they saw and heard during the Israeli military action last year. Many of these children also suffer permanent injury and need medical treatment as well as equipment for the disabled such as crutches, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
Don’t switch off their suffering when you switched off the programme last night. Help us continue our work to give the Children of Gaza a reason to live, and hope for a better future.
